CHRISTMAS CONCERT  December 3 at 3pm

On December 3rd, the Avon Civic Association, will be holding it's annual Holiday Celebration.  There will be ice sculpting, kiddy rides, horse drawn carriage rides and other activities.  The Avon Baptist Church will be hosting a soup tent and a Christmas Concert present3ed by our own talented May Kay Grout.

The soup tent will be from 1 - 2:45 pm.  Hot soups will available to purchase and eat there in the tent or for takeout.  Some of the selections available will broccoli cheddar, beef stew, clam chowder, veggie chilli, meatball with herbs.  A toasty fire pit will be near by to warm you and who knows, maybe someone will breakout in acapella Christmas Caroling that will warm your heart and soul.

At 3 pm wander in to our sanctuary where you will be treated to a wonderful Free Christmas themed concert presented by Mary Kay Grout, our church pianist and organist.  She will be performing selections by Jarrod Radnich, David Lanz, Johnny May and Ralph Blane, culminating in three selections from the Trans-Silberian Orchestra.

Accompanying Mary Kay will be music majors, percussionist Steffan Griffin and various vocalist students from the University of Rhode Island.  They will also be joined by local teen guitarist Noah Adams, who is 16 and a junior at Blue Hills High School.  He has been playing guitar for 4 years and taking lessons from Varis Ozols.

Join us for this festive concert featuring your holiday favorites.  It is sure to put you in the holiday mood.

Merry Christmas!
